The Toronto Maple Leafs and soon-to-be unrestricted free agent Tyler Bozak continue to negotiate over a possible new contract as Fridays Free Agent signing period draws closer. According to TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger, the most recent response from Bozaks representatives is an eight-year contract proposal averaging less than $5 million per season. In 46 games this season, Bozak scored 12 goals and 16 assists and finished fifth in team scoring. The Regina native finished off a two-year contract he signed with Toronto prior to the 2011-12 season that had an average annual value of $1.5 million. In five seasons, Bozak has scored 53 goals and 81 assists in 238 career NHL games, all with Toronto.
