This preview picture is kind of tricky because as we all know the front of the shoe s colorblocking is crucial to the design. Sneaker Freaker x Asics Gel Lyte III Alvin Purple �Sep 9, 2010 Sneaker Freaker has gotten their asics gt 2000 6 womens hands on their own pair of sneakers to freak with this Asics Gel Lyte III collaboration. The Alvin Purple Asics Gel Lyte III gets its name from a 1973 Australian comedy and if that s not interesting enough consider how the shoes were originally introduced to the world via a 3D image printed in their magazine in April.The black suede and mesh design also gets hits of purple suede and microsuede to break up the monotony and of course a few shades of grey are mixed in for good measure. The freckled laces look great in the mix also and while we wait on a solid release date feel free to debate the finer points of this design. Only 276 pairs are set to go up for sale so these won t be around that long when they do hit retailers.

Asics x Oshman s Gel Yeti Sep 9, 2010 Asics isn t particularly known for anything other than runners however this may change if concept shoes like the Gel Yeti ever catch on. The boot is a collaborative effort between Asics and Oshman s and the end result looks like something that a character in Star Wars may have worn with its minimized lacing system, oversized stitching and rugged outsole. Suede makes up the majority of the look while a leather mudguard binds upper to sole. These are probably not gonna make their way stateside but if you want them they are just a shipping cost away.

The shoes sport a combination of grey, black, and purple, and are actually inspired by the 1973 Aussie sex romp film, Alvin Purple. Hints of white are also visible on the ankle and midsole.
